Lebron James added another ring to his collection when he became a married man this past Saturday.

The Miami Heat forward wed his high school sweetheart of 12 years, Savannah Brinson at the deluxe Grand Del Mar Hotel, just 25 minutes north of downtown San Diego.

Though we wondered why Lebron chose San Diego for his nuptials instead of Miami or his Akron, Ohio hometown, it's easy to see why the Grand Del Mar was selected to host the star-studded affair, which included guests Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade and his girlfriend, Gabrielle Union.

Calling itself “San Diego’s premier wedding venue”, the Grand Del Mar looks like a sprawling Mediterranean estate and its picturesque setting in the Los Peñasquitos Canyon makes for a serene scene.

But we're hearing that another couple arrived at the wedding and took the event to a whole 'nother level!

Read about it after the jump!

A man like Lebron still needs to work on his fitness even during basketball's off season, so it's a good thing the Grand Del Mar has a huge exercise complex with Life Fitness machines (complete with personal viewing stations) and a full schedule of classes from yoga to boot camp. What they don't have? A basketball court! So we're guessing there wasn't a quick pick-up game to settle any last-minute jitters before the Big Day.

The weekend-long event was organized by wedding planner extraordinaire Preston Bailey and was attended by 200 people, including James' Heat teammates, Carmelo Anthony, and singer Ne-Yo. Guests were treated to a welcome barbecue on Friday, and on Saturday the couple exchanged vows at the Grand Del Mar's Capella Chapel. The intimate location has beamed ceilings, imported Italian pews and stained glass accents lending to its Old-World flavor.

After the ceremony, the guests were escorted to the hotel's ballroom for cocktails and later moved to an outside tent (some needed umbrellas to keep from being photographed) for the after party. On Sunday there was a "farewell" brunch.

But let's back up to that after party as that's been a bit of a buzz. Not only did Ne-Yo sing at the reception, TMZ has reported Lebron's pals Jay-Z and Beyonce flew in from Brazil to perform "Crazy in Love" for the couple.

That tidbit has had the internet world questioning it's legitimacy--after all, Mrs. Carter performed in Rio De Janeiro on Friday and had a Sao Paolo concert on Sunday. So did she really fly up to San Diego for the night? We think when one has a private jet, anything is possible! And besides, the Carters might owe Lebron a solid after dude got a slap on the wrist for using a police escort to get to Hov's Miami concert last month.

One thing we do know for sure--Lebron has a thing for hotels just like us. After all, he proposed to Savannah at the Shelborne hotel in South Beach on New Year's Eve in 2012.

We'll be on the lookout for honeymoon hotel news. Standby!
