Choco-holics Get Ready, It's National S'mores Day Tomorrow!

Somehow it's August and many of us at HC haven't had a S'more yet. Quelle horror! Well, we aim to rectify that, and it's easy thanks to National Smore's Day tomorrow. Think you need to be at some Northeast resort to partake? Nah. This day will be celebrated at hotels all across the country. Even better? Folks are getting' fancy with their versions, not content with the original three-ingredient toasted marshmallow, chocolate bar, and graham-cracker recipe. No, some are getting straight extra by adding things like peanut butter and bananas! Now that's bananas!

Here's where you can get your S'more fix on:

The Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix offers the sugary stuff two ways--under the stars or indoors in their restaurant: If you want an authentic experience head to the fire pit on the Squaw Peak Lawn on Friday and Saturday nights through Labor Day for free "do-it-yourself" S'mores kits. If the night air is a bit too warm for you, no worries, the Frank and Albert's restaurant will make them for you tableside using the cutest tiny open fire grill we've ever seen!

The Tides Inn, Irvington, VA: Guests make their own s’mores and are even gives recipes for different varieties on the classic, like the Elvis made with peanut butter and bananas.

Give you s'more, goodies? Find out where after the jump!

Rancho Bernardo Inn, San Diego, CA: Some children are still on summer vacation, so visiting the Rancho Bernardo Inn would be a great end-of-holiday hoorah for National S'mores Day. In fact, you'll get a weekend full of the sticky stuff thanks to a boatload of young ones' programming that includes popcorn, dive-in movies at the Santiago Pool and a fire pit where everyone gets a free s'mores kit. The resort takes it further with their "Kid's Rule" package. Tiny tykes can sign up for the "S'mores and Snores" special which includes an in-room tent, sleeping bag, stuffed animal, glow stick and S'mores kit. Super fun!

Hotel Hershey and Hershey Lodge, Hershey PA: If you're searching for a S'more, may as well head to chocolate mecca (also known as The Sweetest Place on Earth) where there's a theme-park, too. Double score! This weekend purchase a dessert kit from their Cocoa Beanery store, then assemble and enjoy them in the evening around the Swan Lake Fire Pit.

Chebeague Island Inn, Portland, ME: The coast of of Maine seems built for fire-pit activities, so it's not wonder this resort went and purchased a new one that comes with its own menu and “Make-Your-Own S’mores” kit. The Ocean views provide the scene while assembling your sweet treat. But, you can do a lot more at the pit as well including Dogs on a Stick and Truffled Popcorn.Add a Bucket O’ Beers for the adults and you're in Northeast nirvana.

Oh, you want to drink your dessert? No problem. Just head to the Sugar Factory at Paris Las Vegasfor their S’mores Martini. It's Godiva Milk Chocolate liqueur mixed with Three Olives Chocolate Vodka, the vanilla-flavored Licor 43, and served in a glass rimmed with graham-cracker crumbs and topped with cocoa-dusted marshmallows.

Or...try this easy way to make them at home: Assemble your sandwich in aluminum foil, place on a medium-hot grill and cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side. You should end up with gooey greatness!
