A few weeks ago, the Mexican-brand Palace Resorts came to New York and took it by storm, with billboards in Time Square, music in the streets, and general revelry. The followed it with an event boasting the all-inclusive giant's achievements and upcoming plans, including various music and comedy concerts at its mammoth Moon Palace property.

But amid all the talk about the band Chicago and Michael Bolton performing in 2014, one of the execs let out a piece of gossip.

It looks like Palace is in expansion mode even after pumping $55 million into its Moon property near Cancun, and will open a new all-inclusive resort in 2014. Now, we know people are fans of all-inclusives (stay tuned for a feature on some of the best off-the-radar resorts) so this is huge news.

The exec first said that the resort would be a "non-Mexico" property, but then tossed out Cabo, Punta Cana, Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Aruba and Panama as contenders for the new project.

Unsatisfied with such vaguery, we grilled sources for more info and have been told the new resort's exact location will be disclosed in two weeks. However, for now they will "not confirm or deny" that Cabo is the destination! That would totally go against the whole "non-Mexico" declaration at the corporations event, but hey, CEO's are entitled to have loose lips and geography confusion, we guess. We bet money (no, not really) that Palace would go the Dominican Republic, with Costa Rica as our hopeful second choice. Our source wouldn't confirm whether this would be a new build or a resort take-over, so we're keeping our eyes peeled on Cabo hotel woes.

Stay tuned as this story unfolds, and get set to add a new all-inclusive to visit just in time for winter 2014 high season!
