That rooftop bar crowns seven stories of guest accommodations and facilities above ground, with an additional three basement levels. Total room count stops at 200. Like all Peninsula Hotels, there will be The Lobby on the ground floor, serving food all day, with a terrace facing Avenue Kléber. The one existing rendering of the exterior shows an elaborate metal (and we assume glass?) contraption over the suitably grand entrance, guarded by two white marble lions.
A Chinese restaurant brings the Asian heritage of the group to Paris, while there will also be the very en vogue cigar lounge, seating just eight. The 18,000 square feet spa downstairs will have an indoor pool with poolside café for drinks, treatment rooms, changing rooms, and fitness center.
Rates are not available yet, but we’d put money on anything less than four figures a night (i.e. €1,000 - $1,330) being unlikely for the majority, if not all, of the accommodation. Better start saving now…
