5 Hotels That Are Hosting Summer Concerts

The only thing cooler than staying at a hotel this summer is being a guest at one that has a built-in music venue. This is a great time of year when well-known musicians go on tour at big arenas, but some even play some sessions at hotels as well. Yay!

Here are a few acts performing at a property near you. But ya gotta act fast when it comes to scoring a seat! We just missed out on Whitesnake tickets at an Arizona resort, plus they refused our offer to play Tawny Kitane in exchange to get on stage with rock god David Coverdale. Boo! But there’s still time for these shows!

If you happen to be in Miami today we suggest you get to the legendary Clevelander Hotel if you want to take part in Y100’s daytime Mack-A-Palooza 2013 fest, which will feature a special appearance by none other than the lately entertaining Miley Cyrus! She’ll be there along with hype DJ and Rihanna-man Calvin Harris. Oh, and it’s FREE! You have until 6pm to see if Ms. Cyrus breaks out her gold grill, sings her new song, "We Can't Stop" and twerks her sassy little self.

The 3,700-seat Event Center at AC's premiere concert space is no joke. Headliners come year-round to play here. Everyone from Hall and Oats to Earth, Wind, and Fire have graced the stage to a rousing success. So much so, people will come for shows and the fantastic restaurants (ooh, Spago and Bobby Flay Steak) and then think about a bit of blackjack later. This Monday will be the Borgata's 10th anniversary concert which will be hosted by The Roots with special guests Aziz Ansari, Slash, and mighty songstress Jill Scott. Can't make it on Monday? Jackson Browne will be in the house on July 5th and the Jonas Brothers come together on July 26th. And just to get all twentysomething girls (and guys) in a flutter, there will be "An Evening With John Mayer" on September 1st.

There's 21-acres to this South Lake Tahoe property and they had to fill it, so in addition to the 440 rooms, and 40,000 square-foot casino, they added a spa, two nightclubs, three lounges, a 16,000-sq. ft. convention center, and a 4,000 person outdoor amphitheater. That's where the B-52s and KC and The Sunshine Band will be heading on down to this upscale "Love Shack" and play that funky music. Not going to be in town? You have August 3rd to get on over and do the "YMCA" with the Village People.

This massive hotel's Event Center is a 12,000-seater entertainment complex that's hosted the likes of Katy Perry and the Latin Grammy Awards. So, it's not surprising they're bringing Grammy heavy-hitters on stage: That would be New Kids On The Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men. If that's not enough testosterone for you, you can always show up on September 7th, and witness the return of the Backstreet Boys, who haven't performed together in a decade. We can hear the girls screaming from here in New York--and we have on headphones.

This mega all-inclusive just finished a $55 million renovation and put quite a bit of cash into their concert stadium. When they first started, they had Shakira and Enrique Iglesias shimmying on stage. Last December they upped-the-star wattage by having Usher perform. This summer, a dose of nostalgia is on the agenda, and what better group to bring to a seaside resort than the Beach Boys? Chances are parents of the throngs of children that will be on property will want to see this concert, but if the little ones aren't interested--remember, they have their own club to keep them occupied for hours upon hours and they won't go hungry or thirsty, so no worries there, folks. Even better? If you book five nights or longer at the resort, you'll receive two complimentary tickets to the concert! We feel some good vibrations from that deal.
