Chucking Deuces and Other Tips We Learned From Commenters Last Month

· We helped one commenter score a deal at the new Holiday Inn Express in NYC!: "Thanks! I just used my friends IHG Friends and Family rate and scored an average rate of $168 6/29 - 7/3! Thanks for the tip!" Anytime. We love playing the $200 and Under game in NYC.
· "Chucking Deuces" is something you should do before leaving a hotel room: However, we aren't sure if "chucking deuces" means throwing down two dollars for housekeeping or doing like Ke$ha does and flashing a sideways peace sign while making a kissy face. In this case, we say do both.
· One commenter and his friends swear by Quikbook's Secret Sales: These are clutch hotel deals when you need them. Just know they are fully charged at the time of booking and are non-refundable.
· General Managers can be a bit "loose" with their Family & Friends rates: "One [GM] I worked under was always talking and passing out his business card, so much so that not too long ago some lady emailed him and in her presentation gave him the impression they had met and that he said to call to get a deal, so she got a special discounted rate and an upgrade." See, it never hurts to ask.
