Tryp By Wyndham is Going Down Under to Brisbane
We know it doesn't look like much now, but this shrouded warehouse building has some big shoes to fill in the future. If all goes to plan, by the middle of next year, this vintage brick structure will get a new makeover and become Australia's first Tryp by Wyndham.
Tryp Brisbane will bring an edgy and locally-inspired design to Australia's third largest city. Situated in the city's Fortitude Valley area, guests will be within walking distance to the area's hottest nightclubs, boutique shops and trendy restaurants. But if you don't want to leave the hotel, the lobby will feature a ground-floor restaurant and hip bar, that's posh enough for Brisbane's elite scene as well as gives travelers a taste of the local nightlife.
With a play on old and new, the entire hotel will pay historical homage to it's roots and boast 150-year old timber flooring to maintain the vintage warehouse feel and ultra-modern room design with clean lines and fittings. We can only hope for the same easy reach shower door from it's Times Square brother. As for the all-important WiFi, most Tryp Hotels, especially the newer ones, do have free WiFi but there are a few cases where guests have to pay for it. We hope that Tryp makes the right decision here.
While we wait to see how the building takes shape in the next few months, we will keep you posted and even try to share our regular peeks through the windows.
