We're bringing you a double-dose of QT Hotel news this week, because we couldn't resist the announcement of a new ski resort in Australia. Huh? Australian ski resort? Surely, we meant Austria? Nope! It's true, the sunburned land Down Under actually has some areas that get snow and with the new QT Falls Creek, now's the perfect time to head down to the slopes.

The mastermind hotel designers have taken over the perfect après–ski location situated in the mountainous Great Dividing Range in South Eastern Australia. Just over four hours drive from Melbourne, QT's newest outpost, which was previously Quay West Falls Creek, has 63 alpine one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments that'll have the quirky touch we've come to expect from the brand. Most of the apartments will have private balcony hot-tubs but all will have uninterrupted views of the snow-capped peaks surrounding the resort.

There's a lot of work to do putting the trendy stamp of approval on each of the rooms, but when it's complete, the redesign will offer guests everything that makes QT, quirky and trendy. What can we expect: The signature StingRay lounge for snow-bunnies wanting to show off the latest ski fashion, spaQ to massage out sore muscles from too many tumbles in the snow, and the interactive marketplace, Bazaar, to refuel between lifts.

If all goes to plan, the re-brand (not the redesign) will be complete just in time for June's opening ski season. So if you just can't bear the heat of summer, head down to Oz and brush up on your slalom skills.

Rates haven't yet been released for the new property.

Now that's a gorgeous view!

Now that's a gorgeous view! Time to pull out the skiis from storage and start planning the next trip down to this QT hotel and test it out! I've been thinking about bringing the kids to experience skiing for quite a while now so this review comes in some rather good timing! Haha! Any advice to anything else we should note about the hotel? Hopefully they are as kid friendly  as it looks to be for the couples though!
