Accommodations will total 316 between floors 2 and 13, starting from a roomy 516 sq ft. First snapshots certainly look airy, with lots of light colors and the occasional pop of purple, blue, and green. We dig the look of the lobby with its large windows, and given the prime location, there should be great views of the Chicago River, skyline, and the Lake in the distance. A lot of Chicago, whether it’s The Loop business district or shopping on Michigan Avenue, will be within an easy stroll from the hotel.
The Pavilion will serve afternoon tea and David Rockwell is behind restaurant Travelle. There will be 15,000 sq ft of meeting facilities, where the hotel already has its first wedding on the books. You’ll find more shots from inside on Facebook, including one of the pool and a number of suites. Around 22,000 sq ft is dedicated to the hotel's fitness and wellness centers, including the Chuan Spa, based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Reservations are not open yet (hopefully they come online soon) but if neighbor Trump is anything to go on, we’d expect rates to be in the $500 a night range.
