The hostel rooms, spread out over three floors with 300 beds, offer free WiFi (of course), 24-hour reception, comfy beds, soap in the showers, a small cinema with "a healthy collection of the best in Icelandic Cinema," free luggage storaage and and free domestic calls. Room sizes range from standard and deluxe rooms to private doubles (which still share bathrooms) and family rooms that can fit 5-7 folk. Btw, those books on the window shelf above are very shades of Cooper Square.
The 18 hotel rooms are located on a separate floor ad feature king beds, TVs, minibars and in some rooms, terraces.
Everyone, hostel and hotel room bookers alike, can comingle in the lobby and restaurant. There's even a playroom for children. Live music rocks the lobby and guests can take in the sights on a carriage ride with Icelandic horses which are stationed out front of the hotel.
The hotel is currently in soft-opening stage right now but the full reveal (including restaurant, lobby with live music and game room) will happen this summer. Hostel room rates start at 16 Euros for a bed and the hotel rooms start at 250 Euros, including tax.
