These Hotels Have (Expensive) Proposals and Weddings on the Brain

Fly over the Pacific Ocean just before popping the question, thanks to The Shore Hotel in Santa Monica.

June is just a month and a half away and you know what that means--wedding season kicks off once again! (Yay! Boo! Uggggh.) But for hotels, the wedding season is practically a year-round thing. So if you're looking for the right way to propose, or if you're in the midst of planning a destination wedding or even if you're just looking for the chance to get a free wedding, start with these three hotels right here:

· The Shore Hotel Santa Monica: The Ocean Avenue hotel, practically an aisle march away from the Santa Monica pier and beach, has put together the Proposal By The Shore package which gives lovebirds a private helicopter ride over iconic LA landmarks with a special landing at a private and secluded spot overlooking Malibu beach. Once that's over a gourmet dinner will be provided on the beach at sunset with a personal beach butler, where presumably the question should be popped. (Sorry, ring not included.) The next morning, guests are treated to a massage at the holistic Tikkun spa nearby. Starting at $1,399, the package also includes overnight accommodations (of course) and a bottle of champagne and chocolate-covered strawberries. The package must be booked at least 72 hours in advance. Call the hotel at 800-599-1515.

· Viceroy Hotels: This hotel brand has partnered up with wedding dress designer, Marchesa and luxe china brand, Lenox, to put together a $500,000 Viceroy Destination Wedding Package. No need to rub your eyes and check again. That price tag really is $500,000. The deal includes a Marchesa bridal gown, fitting and alterations by exclusive couture tailor Madame Paulette in New York, a complete Marchesa for Lenox china set (12 settings), a three-night destination wedding for up to 75 guests at the Viceroy hotel or resort of your choice, which includes a welcome reception, rehearsal dinner, and wedding ceremony and reception and up to 60 guestrooms at any Viceroy Hotels and Resorts property for the three nights of the wedding. We're inclined to book this package for one of the Viceroy's Caribbean locations, but you can make it work in Snowmass, Colorado or Beverly Hills as well.

· Hyatt Key West: Don't have $500G to spend on a destination wedding? Then consider entering the Hyatt Key West Resort & Spa’s newest Facebook contest to celebrate their 25th anniversary, which will give one couple their dream wedding. The prize includes a three-night Bride & Groom Romance Package, transport to and from the Key West airport, a beachfront ceremony for up to 40 guests at the hotel, a champagne toast, DJ and photography services and a three-tier wedding cake. Interested couples first need to become a fan of the hotel's FB page. Then they need to make a short video explaining why they deserve to win a wedding at the hotel. The video entries will be voted on by the hotel's own Facebook fans. The contest is going on from now through May 31st. The winner will be announced on June 1.
