Regardless of how corny the jokes are, we think this is a fun concept. And, we suppose if you don't laugh at the joke, you know where you can stick it!
Will we ever see this in America? Maybe...if they come up with digital toilet paper. A survey at the beginning of 2012 reported that 75% of Americans use their smartphones while on the toilet, including 91% of people ages 28 to 35. This doesn't mean they're reading, however. People have admitted to texting, Facebooking, playing Angry Birds, and even joining conference calls at work while handling their personal business (yes, 20% of the men surveyed said they had joined a conference call from the toilet).
Travelodge announced at the opening of the Bethnal Green location that they plan to add 145 new hotels in London over the next 15 years. We hope they make a big effort to ensure each has property has its own personality and keep guests smiling with great rates that begin at $60 per night.
