We’re huge fans of the IFC sketch comedy show "Portlandia", for so many reasons: It taught us interpretive canoe dancing is totally a real thing and reminds us that the dream of the 90s is alive!! (btw, that’s the theme song’s catchphrase.)

Downtown Portland's Hotel deLuxe, which was featured in the recent episode “Squiggleman,” just announced a "Pilgrimage to Portlandia" package that incorporates goodies seen in past episodes. The Art Deco hotel is a 130-room artsy urban haven from the Provenance Hotels group.

Here are some perks you'll receive with their themed package:

When using the hotel's $75 dining credit to Gilt Club, guests can re-create a Portlandia couple's insane chicken scene from the “Is it Local?” clip filmed at Gilt Club, shown here:
Go as far as they did with the poultry nonsense and we'll tease you until you cry to your mommy.

You'll also receive a jar of Portland’s own Moonbrine Pickles inspired by the skit “We Can Pickle That” as well as Olympic Provisions charcuterie as seen in the song-sketch “The Dream of the 1890s”.

Another gift for you is a copy of Portlandia's co-creators and co-stars Fred Armisen (SNL) and Carrie Brownstein's (Sleater-Kinney) new book Portlandia: A Guide for Visitors. As with the show, the book's main challenge is figuring out what is real and what's not. Hint: Voodoo Doughnut is real. Brunch Village isn't.)

As you wander the streets with guidebook in hand, look for the latest free-gan or sea-gan restaurant and try to catch a glimpse of the mayor (who plays the assistant mayor in the show), or Kyle McLachlan (who plays the mayor),. But, do us a favor, if you see Fred Armisen in a wig and a dress – and you are 99% sure it IS Fred Armisen and not just some random hippie-Goth chick with a lisp – take a picture, and send to us stat.
