The designers of the robe, Chris Peters and Shane Gabier, wound up making the hotel their temporary home during New York Fashion Week this past September, living and working in the OTT accommodations, all the while conducting model castings and holding market and press appointments. And in their spare time, they managed to create one of the prettiest robes we've seen in a while.
Naturally they can be worn in the room, but they're also said to be a "layering garment for spring wardrobes". Honestly, we don't think we're hip enough to know how to pull that off without feeling silly, but we're open to learning!
The robes, supposedly available this month (just in time for New York Fashion Week!) are for the hotels' E-WOW and WOW Suite guests use only. You will be able to purchase them though (the site that was given to us was not working as of press time).
Rates for a regular room begin at $323. The WOW suites are $1500 a night in February and March, and the E-WOW Suites are double that at $3000.Oh, and that doesn't include the $14.95-a-day WiFi. Hmph.
