Originally built as Fitzgerald's Hotel & Casino (whose business shuttered in 2008), the behemoth building is currently undergoing "phase two" of its happenin' rebirth -- having just announced a grand reopening as The Whitney Peak Hotel, set to open in June.
The extra $10 million of renovations should translate into the debut of approximately 200 "elegantly appointed" guest rooms featuring WiFi, large work desks, high-def flatscreen TVs and your choice of city or mountain views. As far as facilities, the press release also promises a 24-hour business center and a full-service restaurant serving complimentary breakfast and evening hors d'oeuvres.
FYI -- both the climbing wall and second floor bouldering park will remain "fully operational" during the whole nip-tuck. (As for the martini and tequila bars, we hope they stay open, too)!
