Istanbul's Marti Hotel Takes Ottoman Chic To A Whole New Level
There's a new spot for stylish digs in Turkey's happenin' metropolis with the new Marti Istanbul Hotel. After a soft opening in the middle of last year, the hotel is ready to show travelers what makes them tick in their entirety with every space open and ready to wow guests behind every corner.
Tucked away in the heart of Istanbul, the Marti showcases the local Taksim culture. Considered the cultural and commercial area of the city, the sleek 11-story property is located within walking distance of dozens of galleries, boutiques, restaurants and bars.
Each of the 270 rooms are designed by famed Turkish eye-for-style, Zeynep Fadillioglu, and play with both Ottoman design and contemporary design. Cast in either a purple or blue hue, the rooms create a comfy living space for those that prefer a calming feel. Meanwhile, suites feature a hammam-style marble basin surrounded by richly textured mosaics to really get the true Turkish experience.
In a few months, the hotel will add a 12th floor, roof-top bar to it's food and drink offerings. The deck will boast panoramic views of the surrounding city and be a perfect precursor to either of the three restaurants. All tastes are catered to with a fine dining, BRASS and QUAD Restaurant & Bar for enjoying a cocktail under an Ottoman tent decorated with Turkish motifs.
After a day full of sightseeing your dogs may be barking so plan a trip to the 9,100 square-feet spa, featuring three hammams, two saunas, two steam rooms and five treatment rooms, as well as a relaxation area and "vitamin bar". If a workout is in the card after too many kebabs, the 11th floor glass-enclosed gym looking out onto the city can help you plan the next day's tours.
Opening rates start at $336 per night.
