Grand Hyatt New York Unveils a Delicious New Chocolate Line
Hyatt Hotels are going big in the big city this week. Not content with opening up the brand's largest NYC build in the past 30 years, today the Grand Hyatt New York is launching its first-ever artisanal chocolate line.
Available at the hotel's Market cafe, located in the lobby, the line features milk, dark, and white chocolate bars, and truffles in five flavors, each with a signature color and design: passion fruit, citrus, gianduja & white truffles, coffee, and dulce de leche (given that the chef is Argentinian, you've got to try that last flavor).
Executive Pastry Chef Gonzalo Jimenez served as the Pastry Chef of Boulder's St. Julien Hotel and Spa (known for another kind of sweet treat: cupcake bath bombs) prior to joining the Grand Hyatt, and says that he has "always thought of chocolate as more than just a dessert or ingredient ... it's an experience with each flavor and texture delivering surprise and emotion. If that's all a bit too deep, let us just say these are some tasty chocolates.
Chocolate bars go for $6 or $11, and the truffles are sold in assortment boxes of nine for $16 and 16 for $28.
