Last spring we rounded up a few of our favorite lower Manhattan hotels for river gazing and Ritz-Carlton, Battery park topped the list. No big surprise really, just look at that sweeping ocean view featuring Lady Liberty.
It was ridiculously difficult to choose just one photo for this property. The Shambala Estate is somewhere on par with a luxurious tree house featuring an awesome view, each space nestled in trees and foliage. The villas are actually super private despite what things look like and where else can you wake up in the comfort of a luxurious resort wrapped in lush forest?
Winner of our Best Killer View of 2012 distinction, the Park Hyatt Shanghai occupies floors 79-93 of the Shanghai World Financial Center and the views are pretty amazing this high up above the city.
More than likely the Marina Bay Sands will have a place on many top ten lists for quite some time. The architecture is quickly gaining in notoriety, the view from the top has been tweeted, pinned and Facebooked. Just look at that
vertigo-inducing impressive landscape! It deserves a spot on the list and if you visit Singapore, it deserves a spot on your itinerary.
Who doesn’t love the Eiffel Tower? Even people who have never been to Paris love the Eiffel Tower. And if you happen to count yourselves among them, you might want to consider booking a night in the La Suite Shangri-La for an uninterrupted evening of tower-gazing. We can also confirm high rates of success for marriage proposals made on-property.
Perched 34 floors above Mumbai, Aer lounge inside the Four Seasons has a fantastic view of the city below. Access is of course free for guests, but if you aren’t staying at the hotel visitors can pay $2,500 Rupees to check it out. The lounge opens at 5:30pm and starts serving small bites, so we can’t help but suggest heading up there during sunset for a glass of wine and tapas.
Located right in the thick of the Barrier Reef, Lizard Island is a remote destination that is famed for seclusion and white sandy beaches. As you may already suspect, the locale is basically an ultra-luxury destination with private beaches and a lot of untouched island wilderness, featruting a host of activities that capitalize on wildlife, like snorkeling and deep sea-excursions.
If you’re a history buff, rooms that boast a view of the Colosseum are probably the best thing you could dream up on a trip to Rome. The Colosseum is to Rome like the Eiffel Tower is to Paris and the Statue of Liberty is to New York: purely iconic. There there is something magical about looking out of your hotel room window and seeing a legendary and tangible landmark. Especially one like the Colosseum.
