If you happen to be using the AKA Beverly Hills as an extended stay haven while in LA ( and who wouldn't with all these perks?) you can now add ritzy-room service to the amenities offered.

The brand has joined with culinary wunderkind Wolfgang Puck to create Spago in-Suite. This is the first "room-service" type venture for the chef. Now, Each AKA full-service suite will include a menu featuring items from Puck's flagship Beverly Hills restaurant Spago. In addition to the well-loved favorites (pizza!) there will be a rotating list of daily specialty entrees (perhaps the liberty duck breast with pear-mustard raisin compote) to commemorate Puck's 30 year anniversary and Spago's new menu.

And where can guests enjoy these meals? Why in the comfort of their fully-equipped kitchen or dining area. Interestingly enough, residents will be billed directly from Spago, thus skipping service charges normally presented with traditional hotel room service fees. If they want to eat at the restaurant itself? They'll get preferred seating status, including access through the restaurant’s VIP back door entrance--super convenient as the restaurant and AKA property share the same private driveway.

Considering that rates are $365 a night for a one-bedroom deluxe suite with 1.5 baths and a full kitchen, we're giving serious thought to making extended stay hotels our retirement future, especially if the likes of Spago will be feeding us.
