A Rolls-Royce transfer starts things in style, with accommodation for the night in one of the Contemporary Manors of the resort. At over 4,000 square foot, there’s plenty of room to spread out, including on the outdoor terraces and in a private pool.

A 5-course gourmet wine dinner is served on a platform surrounded by floating tea lights and flower arrangements, with music provided by a private live band. A personal butler is on hand throughout the stay, which also includes a bouquet of 99 roses and a four hour-in room massage for two.

There’s also mention of a surprise designer jewelry gift “for her” and a “make-over for the lady”, which we find a little disappointing in its assumption about who will be booking this sort of package for whom. The make-over will help to look your best for the one-hour professional photo shoot that is also thrown in. The next morning starts with in-room breakfast with caviar and champagne.

A less extravagant alternative is the “Be My Valentine” package, at just under $1,000 (S$1,219). This sets you up in a Premier Garden room, with flowers, bottle of bubbly and chocolate strawberries upon arrival. An hour couple’s massage in-room is followed by a romantic bath. You’ll have a S$200 ($163) food and beverage credit, and leave with a box of Capella Constellation Tea and Capella luggage tag departure gift.
