Bid to Join James Bond at Claridge's and the London Premiere of 'Skyfall'
Hey, did you know that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the first screening of a James Bond movie? The film was Dr. No, of course, and it premiered on October 5, 1962. To mark the occasion, Christie's auction house will be selling off a multitude of Bond gems, such as two of the cars used in recent films, as well as memorabilia such as signed posters.
You can read about those items over on our brother site, Jaunted, but really the magic for us lies in one particular hotel-focused lot: "Skyfall Premiere and Aston Martin Experience"
The winning bidder on this lot will receive: a night for two people at Claridges, a chauffeured ride in an Aston Martin Rapide from the suite to the premiere of the 23rd James Bond film, Skyfall, and after the red carpet and film, on to EON’s after party. The estimate? $3,100-$4,500.
Not bad, not bad at all. To get in on the bidding, you'll first have to register with Christie's and then stay tuned for the start of the online auction on September 28 and the live auction, which goes down in London on September 5. Check out the full auction catalog online right here.
