And the 43rd W Hotel Just Opened in...Singapore!

Believe it or not, the W Singapore-Sentosa Cove has opened, after only one delay! Originally scheduled to debut in August, the 240-room resort on Sentosa Island—just a teensy ways away from Singapore's Central Business District—has just barely cracked its doors open.

This marks the 43rd W hotel for the brand, and it's not about to shirk on the extras. Think a 1,300-square-meter WET outdoor pool with 24 underwater speakers, complimentary guest cabanas, a swim-up bar and a groovy "lighthouse" structure. Even Singapore's official flower, the "Vanda Miss Joaquim" orchid, will have pride of place as a running design theme throughout the entire hotel, inside and out.

The W Hotel mainstays of The Kitchen Table, WOO Bar, Away Spa and the Whatever/Whenever concierge are all present, of course, internet will not be complimentary; WiFi rates are $15 per day. Boo.

As for opening packages, the two we discovered a while ago still stand: The Island Glamour Welcome Package includes one night in a Wonderful room, breakfast for two at the Kitchen Table, and cocktails for two at the hotel's WOO Bar. The Marvelous Welcome Package, on the other hand, ups the offerings with a stay in a Marvelous suite, breakfast for two, cocktails, a bottle of Veuve Clicquot and complimentary two-way airport or local address transfers. A minimum stay of two nights is required and the package starts at $627 a night.
