A New Sheraton Opens in Fuzhou, China
Sheraton Hotels has opened up their newest Chinese hotel, this time in Fuzhou, one of the largest cities in Fujian province. Located in the heart of the newly built business district, the hotel targeted to those who'll be wheeling and dealing in the area and especially want close proximity to the Fujian Strait International Conference & Exhibition Center, the largest convention space in China. And for tourists, this is a base to explore the many temples, pagodas, and parks in the region.
Though the hotel is currently open, it's operating at limited occupancy levels. But, by October 1st, all cylinders should be firing with every room and public area open and ready.
Once the property is completely open, there will be just under 400 rooms ranging from basic to suites. There will also be Club Level rooms with upgraded amenities and lounge access. And while there will be a charge for WiFi in the rooms, at least it will be free in the lobby.
Guests have three restaurants to choose from, and the option to work all that eating off by signing up with the Sheraton Fitness Program, an on-property offering the brand extends to guests via partnership with corporate fitness club, Core Performance.
The new Sheraton will be the first of 12 new Starwood properties slated to open around the country.
Opening room rates begin at 851 CNY ($135)
