Apparently the incident took place right after midnight outside the hotel, where—as always—the sidewalk was packed with people coming and going from the hotel's multiple nightlife venues (seriously, they don't make it easy to be a regular old guest there!). And though the damage was practically zero, the victim ended up immediately calling the police, who were waiting outside when Lindsay finally emerged from the hotel two hours later.
A police source told the NY Daily News:
"She's driving in this freight area, going very slow. She's hitting her horn because there's a lot of people in the area. The crowd moves but she kind of brushes against this one guy.
He runs up to her, tells her she hit him. They get out of the car, there's some interaction with her, her entourage and the guy."
At 2:30am, Lindsay was then arrested for leaving the scene of an accident.
Whether or not this will end up with Lindsay getting blacklisted—the way she did at Chateau Marmont last month—remains to be seen. Though, considering her rumored ties with hotelier Vikram Chatwal, that seems unlikely.
