Folks Are Lining Up To Get A Peek At the World's Tallest Hotel

Marriott's crown jewel, the 72-floor JW Marriott Marquis Dubai, will be the tallest hotel in the world when it opens this December, and business is already pouring in.

GulfNews reports that the hotel is predicting 80% occupancy over the first two years of its opening�that's roughly 1,300 out of the hotel's expected 1,600 total rooms, all filled. Never mind that Dubai is one of the world's most hotel-saturated cities, JW Marriott Marquis has apparently found its "sweet spot" (their words, not ours), and isn't at all worried about whether the demand will meet the supply.

Speaking to the Kipp Report, JW Marriott Marquis Dubai's General Manager, Rupprecht Queitsch, said:

"There is definitely still so much room for potential and more than enough room for this hotel. If you ask me whether i am worried about there being enough demand for us, I would say no."

Dubai's star certainly seems to be on the rise again, with a new terminal set to open at Dubai International Airport�plus the city's location halfway between Europe and East Asia makes it a super convenient destination for conventions, meetings and events. Luckily for businesses, the JW Marriott Marquis will also boast the city's largest supply of meeting rooms and event space.

But if you're planning on booking an event at the world's tallest hotel within the first two years of its opening, better get in line! It sounds like reservations are filling up fast.
