Swiss˘tel, W Hotel, and Ritz-Carlton Plan Way Into The Hotel Future

2013, 2014, 2015, 2016...they're all on the distant horizon. While we've still got 2012 to get through, hotel companies are already planning their next moves and it looks like Dubai, Panama, Turkey and Tunisia will be getting some love!

First up are three gorgeous new properties from Swiss˘tels, which blew us away this year with the colorful new Swiss˘tel Dresden. Up next are two hotels in Turkey: a beach resort (pictured) and a city resort, both in Bodrum, which sits on the Aegean Sea across from Greece.

The beach resort will feature 66 rooms complemented by additional villas and terraces residences. Oh, and that pool? Yes please. Meanwhile, the separate 56-room city resort will be in the hills of Bodrum with incredible views of the surrounding city. Both hotels are scheduled to open in 2013 and 2014, respectively.

Plus, we're told today that in early 2016, the company's second Middle East hotel will open, the Swiss˘tel Jadaf Dubai. The luxury property will sit within a giant complex of 3 other hotels, residences, and retail outletsŚbecause in Dubai, you're never more than five feet from a mall of some sortŚand contain 280 rooms, an all-day restaurant, three specialty restaurants and a Purovel Spa.

Checking in on trendy Panama City, which this year saw the opening of Westin Playa Bonita and Hard Rock Megapolis Panama, Starwood has announced it will be opening its first-ever Central AmericanW Hotel in the burgeoning metropolis.

The 50-floor Evolution Tower, a mixed-use building in the city's downtown financial district, will contain the 203-room hotel, which will be Starwood's ninth hotel in the country so far. Expect 28 suites, two restaurants, a nightclub, pool deck, spa, and an 8,400 sq ft gym. The only bad part? We have to wait until 2016 for it to open.

Ever been to Tunisia? Well, if you're a Ritz-Carlton fan, you might want to consider planning a trip in 2014, when the luxury brand is opening a 129-suite resort in the capital, Tunis. Just thinking about all those ancient ruins in Carthage has us fantasizing about days spent with our archaeologist hats on, and evenings spent on the resort beach with a cold drink in hand, munching on dates.

It all sounds rather dreamy doesn't it? Luckily we've got time (lots of time!) to think about what to pack!
