The Shangri-La Toronto is only the second property in North America for Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts. Its sister hotel, the Shangri-La Vancouver, debuted in January 2009.
The hotel will be located on Toronto’s University Boulevard (picture in your head Canada’s version of Paris’ Champs-Élysées or Berlin’s Unter den Linden: a wide, tree-lined street), which is the epicenter of some of Toronto’s top businesses and performing arts groups. Taking up the first 17 floors of a new 66-storey building, the setting promises to be stunning.
You can choose to hang out in the 90-seat Lobby Lounge or in one of the 202 rooms available, ranging in size from the quite large standard 490 sq. ft. room to the gargantuan 2,200 sq. ft. Shangri-La Suite. Yowza!

Shangri-La Toronto Bosk Restaurant
The hotel’s signature restaurant is Bosk, which literally means a small wooded area. Or you can go the new restaurant and bar opened by superstar chef, David Chang, found in the same complex as the hotel.
The hotel also has a Miraj Hammam Spa by Caudalie Paris, but our favourite spot has to be the fifth-floor pool found in an all stone and glass room.

Shangri-La Toronto Pool
As of today, the hotel is still keeping its rates a mystery, but check their website in about a week, and we expect the mystery will be solved.
