I ended up on a floor with a noisy chambermaid, and party mongers hanging out in the hallways on Saturday night through to early hours on Sunday morning, running throughout the floor.
Searching for the gym and pool I took the elevator to the top floor where I walked across the WET DECK pool area to check out the scene before locating the facilities. The pool was already, by 11am, full of eager young'ins and aggressive security guards.
Learning that I came in from the hotel, the security guard from the Drai's nightclub (which operates the pool on the weekends) asked me to leave and ordered me to return the way I came through, as if I tried to sneak through a service entrance. [Ed. Note: The hotel has had issues with hotel guests getting into the pool area before. You can read the hotel's Wet Deck Capacity rules for guests in the Welcome letter here.]
Staying here is like trying to get into a nightclub – it’s challenging no matter what side of the ropes you’re on.
Rates at the W Hollywood start at around $349 a night on the weekends. For another look at the rooms at the W Hollywood, head to our gallery HERE.
