The Telegraph reports that "the French company made the announcement after a survey revealed that the availability of free wifi was a key factor when choosing a hotel for the majority of travelers." Well, duh!
Often costing up to £3.85 per hour, Accor hotels in the UK have certainly been accustomed to taking a big bite out of people's wallets when it comes time to check out. But for many of us, using the hotel's wifi (whether we're paying for it or not) is often unavoidable due to work, urgent emails, and, ahem, Facebook.
Accor does also hint that in the somewhat near future, all Accor hotels will have free WiFi.
Hey Accor, maybe you can work on making that happening sometime before the 2016 Olympics? With all those billions you're spending on new hotels over there, we think building free WiFi into the new properties would be an "expense" you'd be able to afford.
