This is not so much a bar hop as a bar marathon that runs (get it?) the entire length of Canada. If you have the stamina, so do we.

Even Canadians say that visiting Québec City is like visiting a quaint European metropolis, minus the long flight involved. Old Québec may be a fortified city with UNESCO World Heritage status, but the TRYP Québec Hotel PUR is most definitely of a modern vintage.

The hotel is located in the newly-hip district of Saint-Roch, formerly a warehouse-type neighborhood now filled with trendy shops, excellent cafes and restaurants, artists and artisans, students, and the professional IT crowd.

Table – the hotel's restaurant and bar - has warm walnut wood goodness throughout. The lounge tends to attract a wide following and has a mix of hip trendsters, after-work business revellers and assorted solo and coupled hotel guests, all enjoying Table's mixology magic. Case in point: When asked what the most popular cocktail in the lounge was, we were told it was a drink called The Aristocrat, and what’s in it? Well, here comes the magic – nothing more than a portion of feeling, two portions of sensation, a zest of rosemary (which we can believe) and a final touch of “I want more.” Now how that creates such a tasty cocktail, we’ll never know!

Rates at TRYP Québec Hotel PUR in October hover around the $191 CAD mark for the PUR & Simple package, which includes breakfast but, for an even better deal, bump it up to TRYP’s PUR Delice package, which also gives you a whopping three meals with dessert and a bottle of wine for only $209 CAD.
