The Ritz-Carlton Vienna's Palace Doors Have Been Officially Flung Open
We've already dreamed about life in the palace once this month, so why not dream again? This time, we have our eyes set on RItz-Carlton Vienna, which opens today on Schubertring Boulevard inside "an elegant building composed of four historic palaces dating back to the 19th century."
That's four more palaces than most hotels tend to offer!
Aside from the building's history, a few other components about the hotel have also got us excited: like the rooftop bar (Atmosphere), the six-room Guerlain Spa, a seventh-floor Club Lounge overlooking Vienna from below the eaves of the palace, and an 18-meter indoor pool that plays underwater music.
202 rooms and suites make up the Ritz-Carlton Vienna, and their look (according to photos from the website) is both sexy and understated, with matching curtains, sofas and bedspreads in muted tones of grey or beige. No confusing patterns or clutter—just simple, plain, spacious design. Exactly the way a member of the Imperial Palace would want it.
And speaking of, the hotel is only a twenty minute walk from historic sites in the city like the Museumsquartier or the Hofburg Palace. So you can soak up the city's rich culture, and then in no time be back in your room soaking in the marble tub.
Rates start at around 415 EUR/night.
