We looked on TripAdvisor where there are tons of recent reviews (nearly one a day so far in August) and found that one reviewer warned that guests in the Chateau Tower during the weekends can hear "the pounding from the hotel nightclub... on the 14th floor all the way until 4am." Another called it "party capital." Yet another reviewer complained that dance music was being played everywhere throughout the hotel, especially at the pool.
Still while lots of folks griped about the expenses (there's an $20 a day resort fee, burgers are $22) and the wait for valet, just as many folk raved about the excellent service and the amenities. A hotel manager even chimed in on one review to let them know that the hotel has 2,300 team members on hand to help run the hotel.
In short, if you're heading to the Fontainebleau, where rates are about $300 a night right now, expect nothing less than a party spot. And then if you find it mellow or chill, it will be a pleasant surprise. Just know that Labor Day Weekend will be especially crazy when Timbaland and friends will be partying all weekend, all over the hotel.
