At Long Last, The Jane Hotel's Rooftop Has Finally Opened
It has been years, literally, since we heard any news about the rooftop bar that was supposed to open at New York's Jane Hotel. Back in 2008 we managed to get a peek at what the space looked like at the time with its killer views of the Hudson River but by the following year, plans for the bar were seemingly gone with the wind. Until today.
Guest of a Guest passed along their new photos of the Jane Hotel's rooftop which apparently just opened.
Alas just because you scored a $79 cabin room at the hotel (with shared bathrooms down the hall) doesn't mean you will have access to the rooftop oasis.
What The Jane Rooftop looked like back in 2008.
Owner Carlos Quirarte told Guest of a Guest that the bar is strictly members-only where those who are allowed to enter will be "able to know everyone in the room by at most one degree of separation." Sigh. Hotel guests will just have to stick to Cafe Gitane at the ground level.
