Now You Can Shower Under the Stars at L'Auberge Sedona

Romance seekers and au naturel enthusiasts will be delighted to know that L'Auberge de Sedona wants you to stand outside your room, completely naked. Well that is only true in part- but it is true.

After a multiphase $25 million renovation completed last year that included a new lobby, the redesign of the resort’s Lodge rooms and Creekside and Garden Cottages, and the addition of several brand new Spa Cottages and Vista Cottages and Suites, we've learned that L'Auberge has also added private outdoor showers. Yup, to up the romance factor in our favorite cottages to an "11", L'Auberge has added luxurious enclosed outdoor cedar showers open to the sky for viewing the sunrise or the stars.

The Cottages also have gas or wood burning fireplaces and deep soaking Jacuzzi tubs. All rooms feature private balconies or patios, plush linens, Eco-friendly fabrics in a natural colors, vaulted ceilings, free Wi-Fi, iPod docking stations and 42” LCD TVs. Plush bathrobes and slippers are provided, just the thing to wrap up in after your invigorating outdoor shower.

During the second phase of the property refresh, L’Auberge completed a redesign of their award-winning Spa at L’Auberge and rounded out the dining options by adding Veranda Bar to their award winning, AAA Four-Diamond L’Auberge Restaurant on Oak Creek. The last phase of property upgrade added a new saltwater pool and deck with killer views of nearby Sedona Red Rock formations.

Currently, the hotel is running the "Amour Package" which includes chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in your room for you and your special someone. Enjoy dinner with a credit of $170 at the elegantly relaxed L'Auberge Restaurant and then wake up to breakfast in L'Auberge Restaurant ($36 credit).

Here is a sampling of package rates per night based on the accommodation type: $499 for two people for a Spa Suite Cottage and the large 2 Bedroom Cottage at $609 for two people. There are 26 lodge style guest rooms, 61 private cottages including 12 brand new Spa Cottages and Suites and 18 Vista Cottages and Suites for you to choose from- but only cottages have the fabulous outdoor shower.

Regular rooms start at $225 but you should know that for all rates, there is a 10% service charge per night added in lieu of tipping.
