How to Say Goodbye to The Olympics at These Hotels

It's hard to believe after so much hype (and so many new hotel openings) that the 2012 Summer Olympics in London are coming to an end. If you didn't get the chance to celebrate these past two weeks at these hotels, never fear, there's still time to show your Olympics spirit.

1. The Reefs Hotel and Resort, Bermuda: "On your marks, get set, sip" might be an appropriate start to the Afternoon Tea service here at the Reefs in Bermuda. Executive Chef Karl Blunden working in tandem with the pastry chef has added cupcakes to the Afternoon Tea menu. The fan favorite? Cupcake contenders are running a close race; you may find vanilla or pina colada, perhaps banana and peanut butter, or strawberry champagne, double chocolate, tiramisu, red velvet, raspberry or marshmallow leading.

Tea is served every day from 4 to 5pm in the Reefs Lounge and is complimentary to all resort guests. Rates at the resort start around $670 during peak season (i.e. now) for a poolside room.

2. St. Regis Atlanta: The luxury hotel in the former Olympics host city is throwing its own Go Team USA! tea service from 2:30-4:30pm in the Astor Court. The tea time combines traditional British elements but with American flavors, like mini cherry pie and turkey and ham pinwheel sandwiches. Both hot and cold teas will be served by signature St. Regis Butlers in tuxedos and white gloves and include a variety of red, white and blue treats. The price is $40 per person, $44 if you add in a glass of sparkling wine.

3. The Savoy: Room rates in London will be plunging hard once the Olympics vacate so we consider scooping up this third night free deal from the luxe Savoy as a way to "say goodbye" to the athletic events. Rates start at around $431 a night but any room booked from August 13-September 5 for two nights will automatically get a third night free. A non-refundable first night payment is required at booking but then London, free of Olympics tourists, is all yours.
