The new configuration seems to suit Austin's upper-tier clientele just fine. In fact, it was they in the first place, who, according to the hotel were "looking for the luxury of added space, but not necessarily requiring the expense of a second bedroom."
As a result, when it came time to renovate the suites (located on the top five floors of the hotel, with separate elevators from the rest of the guest rooms), Omni decided to lower the count of two-bedroom suites from 18 to just 3, and increase the number of one-bedroom suites from 17 to 42.
Along the way, the suites were spruced up a little, too, with nice, country-ish hardwood floors, driftwood accents, brass-studded leather chairs, and barn door entryways into the bedrooms and bathrooms.
Another little perk is the addition of four fitness-themed suites—a growing trend we've spotted recently at place like Tryp Times Square and IHG's new brand, Even Hotels. In addition to treadmills (as shown above), the suites will also include P90X videos, yoga mats, resistance bands and stability balls.
Because if there's one thing people never tire of making bigger and bigger, it's muscles.
