The Hudson London Will Open in Great Scotland Yard in 2015

Not long after announcing that it was taking the Hudson Hotel to London, Morgans Hotel Group has finalized the exact location of the boutique hotel--in Great Scotland Yard inside a 102-year-old Edwardian building that once house the Ministry of Defense.

The hotel will have 234-rooms as well as a restaurant on the ground floor, a 40-seat library lounge and "flexible" boardroom space. And being so close to Westminster, Buckingham Palace and Big Ben, the hotel will surely do well amongst the tourist set.

Much like Hudson New York, Hudson London is putting an emphasis on the public spaces but we're still hoping they can up the room size a bit. After all, why go through all this trouble of expanding the brand, only to disappoint upstairs with coffin rooms?

The property won't open until 2015 but Morgans' other hotel brand, The Mondrian, will open at Sea Containers House in early 2014.
