Calling all synchronized swimmers! Or anyone that wants to don some waterproof make-up and try your luck at the elaborate aquatic moves. The Standardin Miami is getting into the Olympic spirit with a few events to mark the opening of the London Summer Games.

Tonight is the night to test your skills at staying afloat with the hotel hosting an evening by the infinity-pool with The Dolphinettes. The appropriately name group is a Miami based synchronized swimming team that will be featured in a demonstration, then teaching brave guests the ins-and-outs of the intricate aquatic sport.

This is not just an exhibition and training session, this is a competition. We are talking about the Olympics, you know. The brave soul to nail the choreography without gasping for air will be crowned the winner and be part of the Standard's Olympic Team.

The hotel will also be screening the Olympic Opening Ceremony in the Lido Lounge at 4pm on Friday. That means if you don't want to get wet, you can still be part of the Games.
