· Viceroy Hotel Group Gets a New CEO: Viceroy Hotel Group has just announced their new CEO, Bill Walshe, who comes to the boutique chain from the Doyle Collection in the UK. He's also done a stint at the Jumeirah Group. All his international experience will surely come in handy as Viceroy gets ready to expand to Istanbul, Bodrum, New York as well as future destinations in Europe, Middle East and Asia.
· The Hyatt Kids Menu Gets a Healthy Upgrade from Alice Waters: Most adults make special pilgrimages to chef Alice Waters' Chez Panisse in Berkeley, Calif. but now kids staying at Hyatt Hotels in the San Francisco-area will get to taste the celebrate chef's organic dinner menu without leaving their hotel. The full organic meal includes a salad, a chicken entree and a dessert. The special menu is part of Hyatt's larger "For Kids, By Kids" menu which has revamped kiddie favorites with healthier and fresher ingredients.
· Hilton's 'Going' Even More Places: Hilton Hotels have rolled out another phase of their ad campaign, "Stay Hilton. Go Everywhere." The newest ads will get more specific than "everywhere" by encouraging guests to "Go Chill," "Go Refresh" or "Go Foodie" during their Hilton stay. You should start seeing the new ads in major magazines and in airports pretty soon. We're still not convinced it will convince us to stay at a Hilton just yet.
