The US Grant Hotel in San Diego had some star power visiting this past weekend. The first home of the Comic-Con, the world's largest comic book convention, the historic downtown hotel had Connor Cruise (Tom's son) as a guest, as well as legendary film maker Tim Burton. Also staying at the Grant was Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo, though she skipped Comic-Con in favor of a trip to the San Diego Zoo with husband Chris Ivery and daughter Stella Luna in tow.
New York’s Andaz 5th Avenue continues to be magnet for A-listers and yesterday was no exception. Rapper Flo Rida was hanging out there yesterday. Perhaps he was staying "Low" key after being snapped on by Power 105.1 radio host Charlamagne tha God the otherday for his once receeding hairline—aging rappers—a sad tale indeed. But apparently he makes the hot hotel a mainstay when not spending time in court. On the other side of the musical spectrum, Jon Bon Jovi lunched at Andaz’s The Shop restaurant last week. We wonder if he had their vanilla bean-lemon peach tea we’ve been longing to try? After all, its SO HOT out. Maybe we'd sip it with a side of Advil to keep the aches at bay? We'd offer some to another frequent Andaz guest Cyndi Lauper as well. Looks like these rockers and rappers are foregoing the loud hotels and their crazy pool scenes in favorite of quiet, classy hotel joints.
Celebs like large, family-style resorts too, and award winning actress Laura Linney, along with The Big C cast-mates Oliver Platt and Gabourey Sidibewere were spotted in Puerto Rico’s El Conquistador Resort shooting the Showtime's series episodes. At $179 per night right now, this is an affordable option for plebes like us!
Justin Beiber and girlfriend Selena Gomez were at the Hilton Los Cabos Beach & Golf Resort attending a friend’s wedding last December. The couple enjoyed sunbathing by the pool and strolling along the white sand beach.
