Always wanted to live out your own round-the-world trip dream? Now you have your chance to win one, courtesy of Sofitel Hotels & Resorts. Inspired by the 1001 nights tales and the novel "Around the World in 80 days", Sofitel is running a competition on www.sofitel80nights.com to win a number of travel prizes.

All you need to do is register on the website and choose eight destinations from the Sofitel network worldwide that you would pick for your dream trip. One winner will receive 31 complimentary nights for two in a selection of Sofitel Hotels and two round the world passes from Skyteam (the airline alliance that includes Air France / KLM and Delta Airlines). Seven other people will win seven nights for two at one of their selected Sofitel destinations.

We wouldn't struggle to put together our eight destinations. We'll start with a few days at Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, then head south for some time in Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. From there, we'll head across the date line to Sofitel Sydney, making our way up to Asia, stopping at the designer Sofitel So Bangkok. For a bit of history, we'll add Sofitel Legend Hanoi Metropole in Vietnam, and since we've never been to Cambodia, we'd include Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeetra. Finally, a bit of rest, culture, and good food at the Sofitel Rome Villa Borghese would round up our trip quite nicely we think.
