King & Grove Picks Up Another Hotel in NYC, The Hotel Lola

Her name was Lola, she was an independent hotel before being picked up by King & Grove.

King & Grove Hotels have been on an acquisition spree since the beginning of the year, picking up the Hotel Wiliamsburg and The Hotel Chelsea as well as planning two hotels for downtown Los Angeles. (We're still trying to confirm if they have picked up The Versailles in Miami. So far, nothing is final.)

Now our deep throat hotel sources tell us King & Grove has added another NYC hotel to their stylish portfolio--Hotel Lola on 29th and Madison.

We discovered the Lola back in February when we found rates at the cute and cheap hotel for just $117 a night. (Remember, this was NYC in the dead of winter.)

Yet while Lola has fun (if a bit girly) decor and a playful personality, she has ceased to exist. King & Grove has already made this their flagship NYC property, renaming it King & Grove New York. K&G will also put in new restaurant and bar lounge concepts and whip up a new lobby design.

While the Hotel Lola website still exists, you can't make reservations from there. Instead, head over to the King & Grove New York website. We found rooms this weekend for $306 a night for a superior queen.
