Per the Daily News, the various origins of the scents will range from Australia to China to Madagascar to Florida:
"The China fragrance contains essential oils of vanilla, ylang-ylang and rose, for instance, while Australia's contains pure eucalyptus oil and Madagascar's is steeped in Madagascan black peppercorn oil."
Oooh, peppercorn oil! We thought we were special for our coffee-and-sugar granule body scrub in our shower at home, but this sounds exotic beyond words.
This might be the most exciting bit of toiletry news since we found out that the L'Occitane Hotel carries its own brand. Of course, the Goring's bath menu is more of a seasonal thing.
Also mentioned in the article is the option to call up a bath butler, who is available to draw baths for guests, as well as light a selection of scented candles. This might be going a little overboard. When we read about Andaz's World Food Marathon menu last month, did we also read about a person whose job it is to feed guests their food? No. So we say, ask for help when picking out the right scent for your bath—it could make or break the entire experience—but if you've got it in you, do the faucet-turning on your own.
