If you, like us, have ever fantasized about living in a hotel but, for some reason, this has never quite transpired, you can now finally furnish your home exactly like one, thanks to UK company Discover & Deliver.

Discover & Deliver will source any piece of furniture or number of objets you may covet in collaboration with hotels, and will ship it to you wherever you live – whether it be Halifax, Manhattan or Timbuktu.

How does this play out in real life?

Well, let’s say you’re staying at the Smyth Tribeca. As you sit in your Plattner side chair reading a book that’s illuminated by an Axis Mundi floor lamp, you look around your walnut-paneled room and think to yourself, “I must have this.”

And then you do what many of us have done over the years: you ask the hotel where to find these pieces, they do their best to get the info, and then the search goes cold and you remain chairless and lampless.

However, if you’re staying at a hotel that is happily collaborating with Discover & Deliver, they will pass the request over to them to handle. This team will source the designer for you and deliver it to your door. If, sadly, the piece you desire is not in circulation and they can’t source it, they will have one of their designers work with you to find a similar piece.

The company even has an online store of some of their partner hotels’ most popular pieces. You can search their site by destination and then by hotel.

Some of the hotels in the program include the W Barcelona, Brandenburger Hof in Berlin, Hotel Missoni in Edinburgh, Claridges in London, the Hollywood Roosevelt and, as noted above, the Smyth Tribeca in New York. The Discover & Deliver team can source anything from cutlery to lighting to artwork and everything in between.
