The property has been designed by Jacques Garcia, a well-known interior designer, who has outfitted the place with "precious marbles, sumptuous draped velvet, and rare fabrics." There will also be a 20,000 square foot with three private pools, a subterranean nightclub and a roof deck run by The Light Group, along with several bar and lounge concepts and both a French and Italian restaurant manned by Michelin stared chefs, Michel Rostang and Giancarlo Morelli respectively.
Meanwhile the Mondrian will be located in the hotel area of Agdal and will have just 69 rooms. A spa, fitness center and several food and beverage outlets are also expected.
Now given that September is just a mere two and a half months away, we're wondering if the Delano can really pull this off. We did some quick research and we actually think that the property is The Pearl, which we found on Conde Nast Traveller to be a 72-suite hotel designed by Garcia. That just can't be a coincidence.
On the bright side, the hotel is probably nearly finished. All it needs is some Delano branding and voila, it will be ready to go in September. We'll be watching closely of course.
