Bucharest Will Get A Shiny New Courtyard By Marriott In 2014

It was announced this week that a Courtyard by Marriott is coming to the capital of Romania in early 2014. And while Marriott already has an outpost in the city�the flashier, more expensive JW Marriott Bucharest Grand�this will be the city's first Courtyard, and, in fact, just the 47th in all of Europe.

And we must, say, we're liking its look. A rendering was released, showing off the hotel's glass facade and geometric structure, organized into interlocking blocks. The kind of thing we'd expect at maybe a newer budget brand like Hyatt Place, or maybe IHG's newest, and yet to launch, health-oriented brand, Even Hotels. But if this is the direction we see more new Courtyards heading in, then sign us up!

While we of course can't see inside the rooms yet, we're guessing that the large protruding level at the front of the building will function as the hotel's main lobby lounge. Across town, the JW Marriott certainly makes an impression upon entering (judging from photos on the hotel's website), and no doubt Courtyard will have to up its game to play alongside its ritzier sibling. According to Marriott, the "innovative design concept of the Courtyard by Marriott brand [is] designed to help business travelers maintain balance on the road."

And we know renderings can be tricksy, but with the leafy trees and grass surrounding the property, the green and white on the exterior of the building, and all those clean lines, we're already starting to feel the pieces come together.

Aside from the design, guests can expect plenty of work space inside the rooms, a 24-hour market offering salads and sandwiches in the lobby, a restaurant serving local cuisine, a fitness enter and a sauna.
