That's right: we're not done babbling about SLS South Beach. There's lots to love about this hotel and we've only experienced some of it.

To go with our room gallery and taste of The Bazaar by Jose Andres, we now bring you a slideshow of the hotel's other public spaces, including the highly anticipated Hyde Beach.

During our visit, this hybrid pool/lounge/day club wasn't fully operational, but the Katsuya kitchen was sending sushi down and a few of the cocktails were being previewed. Personally, we loved the laidback vibe and were thrilled to get a swim in before Hyde Beach opens for real and becomes the hottest of all South Beach hotspots.

Hyde Beach will be open to the public--for a fee, although that fee couldn't be confirmed by the staff we asked at the hotel. Hotel guests will also have to pay a fee to access that particular pool and the other Hyde Beach amenities, although it sounds like it will be less than the non-guest fee. (Also, don't forget, hotel guests have access to the other pool, on the other side of the big silver duck, any time they please.)

Over the weekend, staff were hard at work preparing for the opening and we hope they stay as friendly and charming as they were while chatting to us once it gets cray-cray crowded. When we called to check on the status of the opening last night, we were told that Hyde Beach is scheduled to open on June 19.

Also still on the way: the hotel gym, the blowout bar and the tricked-out villa rooms that sit above where the pool cabanas at the first pool will go, including the most intriguing villa of all, the corner suite designed by Lenny Kravitz.
