Sure, it may cost you to get to Indonesia, but after you do, you can save a grip of cash on just about everything from food to lodging. That's why we chose this hotel, which opened in 2011. It has an American brand name, so there's a corporate standard that's adhered to. Still, reports say there's nothing box-cutter about this place near Kuta, a popular Balinese beach town, and we like that.
Most guests rave about the rooftop which is a great spot for panoramic views of Kuta and the Indian Ocean. The infinity pool there is good for a dip, but not for laps, but you'll find most people taking in the sunset and sipping on Bintang beers.
We hear some kvetching about rooms being a bit tiny, but for rates beginning at $69 in low season ($88 in high), we're thinking some folks should be spending less time in their rooms and more time enjoying Bali!
