From the 28th floor down, the MIllennium UN Plaza hotel houses UN offices, while the rooms themselves span floors 29-40. And while both towers offer great views of the East River, the Manhattan skyline and five bridges, it is the 154-room West Tower, due to re-open in September, which will be attracting business travelers to the panoramic 30th floor Skyline Club. There, guests will be treated to exclusive check-in, free breakfast, all-day snacks, evening cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, free WiFi, and access to the boardrooms.
Of course, you'll pay slightly more for the services. While West Tower rooms will start at around $500/night, the more economical East Tower rooms stick closer to $300/night.
As for the renovated rooms themselves (pictured above), the new design will include floor-to-ceiling windows, warm wood accents, recess lighting over the bed and window-side benches.
The first phase of the renovation will be the West Tower's re-opening in September, with Phase II (the lobby and restaurant) and Phase III (the East Tower) scheduled for later in 2013.
