First up, the release refers to the cast as the "young, testosterone-charged staff" and "made up of exotic Latinos, middle-eastern delights and suave native Americans of home-grown talent." Oh boy.
Hotel owner Nathan Lieberman who stars in the show and is also the executive producer who came up with the show idea, thinks his employees at The Catalina show a "true representation of adulthood in South Beach" but for those of you hotel geeks who were curious about the inner-workings of a party hotel like The Catalina, you might be disappointed.
The show seems to be more about the lives of the young kids that work at the hotel, not so much about the hotel guests that frequent the place. However, you can expect the following scenes to pique your hotel geek:
· The two pool bartenders have a contentious relationship because they used to date one another and when one bartender flirts with hotel guests, the other one gets mad.
· The front desk team of Vicky and Karina are best friends at work and after work, where they like to party when they finish their shifts.
· Nathan and the general manager, Stephanie, are working to keep their partying guests happy.
Well, it definitely sounds better than Miami Social.
If you're in Miami the hotel is hosting a red carpet premiere party tomorrow night at 8pm which is expected to be attended by a number of celebrity guests and of course, the cast of the show. Otherwise, do like us and set your DVRs for Tuesday, May 29 at 8pm on The CW.
